Responding to God's generous love

On Sunday 5th February our Archdeacon, Justine Allain Chapman, visited and spoke to groups of us at afternoon tea and evening drinks about discipleship and vocation, and the importance of giving as a part of that discipleship.

This launched a three-week period of reflection during which we each considered our own response to God's generous love, demonstrated both at Christmas and in Holy Week and Easter. At our services on 26th February we presented to God our personal Pledges: the Pledge form is just between us and God, but it is good to write down what we have decided to give him through his Church.

Here you can download:

Practical Matters

If your pledge to God involves a change in your regular giving, either the amount or the frequency, or the way you give, then please see these notes which will help you make the changes in the simplest way.

Existing Planned Giving Scheme members who donate:

New Planned Giving Scheme members. If you wish to donate:

  • by Standing Order: Please either download and print off the application form or collect one from the back of Church. Once completed please hand in to either a Churchwarden or a member of the Treasury Team, especially if you are a taxpayer and willing to Gift Aid your Standing Order. We will then pass on to your bank for processing in the usual way.
  • by the Envelope Scheme: Please either download and print off the application form or collect one from the back of Church. Once completed please hand in to either a Churchwarden or a member of the Treasury Team to order your envelopes.
  • by regular cheque, usually once, twice or quarterly per year: Please place in a White 'Gift Aid' envelope available from Church and hand in to either a Churchwarden or a member of the Treasury Team, marking your envelope for example 'Quarterly Donation from........'
